Welcome to Home-Start Teignbridge
Home-Start Teignbridge offers a unique service, recruiting and training volunteers – who are usually parents themselves – to support families who have a young child(ren) to offer informal, friendly and confidential support.
Our volunteers have several ways of supporting families via home visiting, telephone and Zoom. Volunteers also meet families outside the home at our local libraries, cafes and local parks including Decoy Country Park and Stover Country Park.
In addition to this Home-Start Teignbridge runs a much valued parent/grandparent and toddler group every week during term-time.

Volunteer Preparation Course
Are you a parent or grandparent who could spare one morning a week to support families at our “Walk and Talk Group”?
You can join our new volunteer preparation course at any time. You will receive comprehensive training with a mix of face-to-face and online sessions. This will last about 5 weeks and will give you the confidence you need to fully support our families.
Once fully trained you will be able to join our popular “Walk and Talk Group”.
You will be fully supported at the group by our Co-ordinator Denise.
